  12. DESCRIPTION: CIPHER is a word puzzle game in which you must try to
  13. discover the real meaning of a quotation or other phrase that has 
  14. been encrypted. To get started either read the .doc file or just
  15. start up the game and view the help screens to learn how the game
  16. works.

  18. REQUIREMENTS: CIPHER runs in 640x350, 16 color graphics mode for use
  19. with an EGA or VGA card. It can also run in color or monochrome text
  20. mode, so almost any system will work. All video modes support keyboard
  21. play; VGA and EGA modes also supports mouse play.
  22.  
  23. SHAREWARE: CIPHER is distributed as Shareware. You are free to try
  24. the game and make copies for others. If you continue to use the
  25. game, however, you must pay the author a registration fee of $15; in
  26. return you'll receive a copy of the latest version of the program, a
  27. larger collection of puzzles and possibly other software to try out.
  28. A deluxe version with binder and printed manual is available for $22.

  76. MAHJONGG:  Addictive solitaire game played with Chinese tiles. Very
  77.            easy to learn but always a challenge to win. Many game
  78.            options including timed games, tournaments, etc. Also
  79.            allows loading optional tile sets (tile editor included).
  80.            Supports EGA and Hercules graphics; mouse optional.

  88. TMATCH:    Tile Match is a variation on concentration solitaire or
  89.            "memory", but adds multiple player versions (up to four
  90.            players) or play against the computer. Many scoring and
  91.            difficulty settings allow use by any age player. Uses
  92.            the same tiles for playing pieces as Mah Jongg solitaire
  93.            and includes the tile editor.

  95. TILESETS:  Several collections of tile sets created by various
  96.            Mah Jongg fans are available. Each collection includes
  97.            at least ten tile sets. Requires Mah Jongg v3.3 or later
  98.            or any version of Tile Match.

  100. CIPHER:    A word puzzle game, yet it uses hi-res VGA or EGA graphics
  101.            for displays (mouse optional). Also will run in text mode.
  102.            Includes over 30 puzzles to solve; registered version comes
  103.            with over 200 additional puzzles. You can also enter your
  104.            own puzzles.

  106. CIPHWN:    Cipher for Windows. Just like regular Cipher, only this
  107.            runs under the Microsoft Windows 3.x enviroment. Includes
  108.            standard Windows help with complete game instructions.

  110. PUZZLES:   Several collections of puzzles are available that work with
  111.            either CIPHER or Cipher for Windows. Each collection
  112.            contains over 200 puzzles.

  114. SHOOT:     "Shooting Gallery" is a colorful arcade game with several
  115.            different rounds to test your aim and reflexes, including
  116.            skeet, quick draw, carnival type shooting range and a wild 
  117.            west shootout. Uses 320x200, 256 color mode and a mouse to
  118.            play. Requires VGA or MCGA.

  140.            tournament, including rod and lure selection. Runs in

  146. BASSMAP:   Companion program for BassTour which allows lakes to be
  147.            created or modified. EGA and CGA versions provided.
  148.            Requires BassTour or Bass Class.

  150. These programs are probably available on your favorite BBS or from
  151. your favorite disk vendors. To register them or to order direct, use
  152. the form in the file "orderfrm.txt" which is all ready to print. The
  153. "deluxe" version includes the registered software on diskette, plus a
  154. binder and printed manual (some programs also include quick reference
  155. cards). The standard version includes just the diskette with the
  156. registered software. You can also use your VISA or MasterCard to
  157. order on-line thru the support BBS, Xevious, at 508-788-6951. Use
  158. the command "CREDIT" to order.
